Chris’ work has received many accolades. Ferrero Rocher Dentist was featured in Shoot Magazine’s “The Best Work You May Never See” in February 2008, Kodak’s In Camera Magazine in January 2009 and at the Berlin Short Film Festival in November 2008. Energizer Cunou and HSBC Morocco won the Telly Award in 2007. Citigroup Carver won a Telly Award in 2006. San Pellegrino Positano, Coca Cola Jungle and Coca Cola Cuzco won the Davey Award in 2005. The spot was also screened at the Toronto Online Film Festival and the New Orleans Media Experience in 2003. Calvin Klein Scooters was featured in Ad Age’s Creativity Magazine February 2003 issue.

Miracolo is under a license and distribution agreement with Shorts International, a short film distributor. It was chosen for screening in 2004 at the Filmstock Festival, Luton UK, Forest Film Festival, Portland, Oregon, Visionfest, New York City, One Reel/Bumbershoot Seattle Arts Festival, Cinema Paradise Film Festival, Honolulu, Hawaii, the Greenwich Film Festival, Greenwich, Connecticut, the Annapolis Film Festival, Annapolis, Maryland and the Tiburon International Film Festival, Tiburon, California. Miracolo was also licensed to HBO Latin America. Miracolo debuted at the LA Shorts Film Festival and the Toronto Online Film Festival in 2003.

Chris has been a lighting professional in New York City for fifteen years. He has worked on productions directed by Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Sydney Pollack, Spike Lee, Wes Anderson, Michel Gondry, Mike Nichols, Oliver Stone and Robert DeNiro. He has worked on location and in the studio on Boardwalk Empire, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, The Good Wife, Sopranos, Law and Order SVU and many other TV productions. Chris has also worked on hundreds of national commercials such as Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, MacDonald’s, Burger King and Nikon.

Chris studied at the International Film and Television Workshop in Rockport, Maine, the New York Film Academy, and holds a BA in German from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Chris is fluent in German and Spanish and has duel citizenship with Germany and the USA.

Chris Drechsler has designed, cast, directed and produced spec commercials for Ferrero Rocher, Calvin Klein, Fila, Citigroup, Energizer, Sol Beer, Dannon Yogurt, San Pellegrino, Coca Cola, HSBC, and VW. Chris has also made the short movie Miracolo. Ferrero Rocher Dentist, Fila Priest and short film Miracolo were written by CD/Writer Jeff Vinick. All the other spots were Chris’s original ideas. Chris specializes in sophisticated, clever humor and stunning visuals.
